AI Video Editor: Restyle, Extend, Lip Sync, Upscale
Pickshot's AI video editor lets you upload a clip, mark the part you want on a filmstrip timeline, and apply AI tools to just that part: edit it with words, change its style, swap a subject or the background, extend it, transfer its motion, upscale it, smooth it to 60 fps, add sound or sync lips. Credits are charged per second of the selected part (for example 57 credits a second for a 720p restyle on Balanced), and the total is shown before you run.
No installation. No credit card. Private by default.
What is an AI video editor?
An AI video editor changes what is in a clip, not just where it is cut: it can redraw every frame in a new style, replace a person or a background while keeping the motion, generate a few more seconds, or create sound that fits the picture. Pickshot combines ten AI tools with four free tools that run in your browser (Trim, Speed, Aspect and Save a frame). It opens MP4, MOV and WebM files up to 200 MB.
Why edit video with Pickshot
Pay only for the part you choose
Set the start and end with Start here and End here (or the I and O keys). AI tools use only that part, and the price is per second of it, shown with the per-second rate before you run.
Restyle, edit with words or swap
Turn live footage into anime, webtoon, ink wash, ukiyo-e, pixel art and four other looks; change what is in the shot with a sentence; or replace a person, object or background while the motion stays.
Extend and transfer motion
Extend continues the clip from its last frame for up to 10 more seconds. Motion transfer makes your character photo perform the dance or moves in the clip (57 credits a second at 720p).
Upscale, 60 fps, sound and lip sync
Upscale to 1080p (9 credits/s) or 4K (36 credits/s, Pro and up), smooth to 60 fps (2 credits/s), add sound effects that match the picture, or sync lips to a typed line or a voice file (7 credits/s, billed in 5-second steps).
Three quality levels
Edit with words, Change style and Replace background offer Fast (Gemini Omni Flash, 45 credits/s), Balanced (Kling O3 Omni, 57/s) and Best (Seedance 2.0, 205/s) at 720p. If a selection is too long for the model, one tap trims it to fit.
Free tools in the browser
Trim, preview speeds from 0.25× to 2×, frame the clip for 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, and save any frame as a PNG or send it to the image editor, all at no cost.
How to edit a video with AI
Upload a clip
Drop an MP4, MOV or WebM (up to 200 MB) into the editor or use Choose a file. You can also start from a sample clip under Try it on a sample.
Choose the part
Drag the handles on the timeline or press Start here and End here (I and O). The selected range and its length appear under the player.
Pick a tool and run it
Choose a tool, set its options and quality, check the credits and the per-second rate on the button, then run it. Progress appears in History.
Typical video apps vs. Pickshot
Cutting and colour grading are what classic video apps do well. Pickshot focuses on AI edits that change what is in the clip.

Questions
How much does AI video editing cost?
Each AI tool charges per second of the part you select. At 720p, Edit with words, Change style and Replace background cost 45 (Fast), 57 (Balanced) or 205 (Best) credits a second; Motion transfer 57; Upscale 9 (1080p) or 36 (4K); Smooth motion 2; Lip sync 7, billed in 5-second steps. For example, 5 seconds of a Balanced restyle costs 285 credits. The total is shown before you run.
Which files and lengths are supported?
MP4, MOV or WebM up to 200 MB. Each AI job has a length range set by the model: 3–10 seconds for a Fast restyle, 3–15 for Balanced, 3–30 for Motion transfer, and up to 60 seconds for Upscale, Smooth motion and Lip sync. If your selection is too long, the editor offers to trim it.
Is any of it free?
Yes. Trim, Speed, Aspect and Save a frame run in your browser at no cost. AI tools need credits; signing in gives you 50, enough for a 5-second 1080p upscale (45 credits).
Can I make a 4K video?
Upscaling to 4K is available on Pro and Max at 36 credits a second; 1080p is open to everyone at 9 credits a second.
Is my video uploaded?
The free tools work on the clip inside your browser. When you run an AI tool, the selected part (and any image or voice file you add) is sent to the AI model provider that processes the job. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I use the edited video commercially?
Check Pickshot's Terms of Service and the licence of the model you used before commercial use. Only edit footage you have the rights to, and never use Swap a subject or Lip sync to impersonate real people.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in mobile browsers: the player sits on top, the timeline below it, and the tools scroll sideways.
